Born in a small town in the Free State, South Africa, Portchie grew up surrounded by creativity, kindness, and colour. From a young age, he learned that being creative wasn’t about sticking to one thing - it was about staying curious. Whether through painting, sculpture, fabric, or the details of everyday life, he has always found joy in making the ordinary feel magical.

Portchie passed away on 12 June 2026. RIP
